Our organization is currently conducting a crowdfunding campaign to establish “Children’s Base,” a support center for single mothers and their children who have experienced divorce or bereavement (including suicide related to gambling) related to gambling addiction.

In many single-mother households affected by gambling addiction, child support goes unpaid, savings and education funds are depleted, and the families are left in severe financial and emotional hardship. Among the consultations received by our organization and the National Association of Family of Gambling Addiction, many cases involve serious situations where children’s school refusal and employment difficulties coincide. When children refuse to go to school or kindergarten, mothers are unable to work, dramatically increasing their risk of isolation and poverty.

That’s why we want to create a place for children who can’t go to school, while at the same time creating an environment where single mothers can continue working and avoid isolation. The Children’s Base is a warm and supportive space where children can regain a sense of security through connections and mutual support, and where single mothers can move forward without having to bear the burden alone.

Even when a single family cannot solve a problem on its own, we can overcome it when the strength of society comes together. We sincerely ask for your warm support so that children and single mothers affected by gambling addiction can move forward with hope and not feel isolated.

What is the “Children’s Base”?
