Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Grant Program for Supporting Private Organizations with Dependent Disorders Before the Formulation of Prefectural Basic Plans! What are effective measures against gambling addiction? ～What is the “Yamanashi Model” for regional cooperation? The national “Basic Plan for Measures against Problem Gambling” has been compiled, and now it is time for prefectures to formulate their own basic plans. Currently, regional disparities in support for gambling and other forms of addiction are very large. What can be done to help people suffering from gambling addiction anywhere in Japan? In this issue, we would like to introduce some cases in which regional cooperation is in progress, and what measures against gambling addiction are truly necessary.
