Successful Conclusion of the “Gambling Addiction Seminar & Consultation in Niigata”
On Saturday, February 21, we held the “Gambling Addiction Seminar & Consultation in Niigata” in Niigata City. We are pleased to report that the event was a great success, with 124 people in attendance.
The program began with a couple sharing their personal journey—one involved in our Peer Support Division and the other in the National Association of Family of Gambling Addiction.
Their powerful stories served as a message of courage and hope for all those who attended.
Following this, Dr. Tatsuya Imamura, Director of the Sasaeai Yorozu Clinic, gave a lecture that touched upon the “12-Step Program,” a well-known recovery framework for addiction.
After a presentation by our representative, Noriko Tanaka, we held a special talk session featuring Mr. Noboru Takachi and Ms. Tanaka. During the session, Mr. Takachi shared his own journey toward recovery with plenty of humor, which brought great energy and excitement to the venue.
