Educational Booth on Gambling Addiction at Yamato University’s “Waten Festival”!

We participated in Yamato University’s campus festival, the “Waten Festival,” by hosting an educational booth to raise awareness about gambling addiction. Many visitors—primarily students—stopped by the booth, allowing us to carry out activities aimed at promoting accurate understanding of addiction.
At our booth, we offered:
• A questionnaire survey
• Basic information about gambling addiction
• Guidance on available consultation services
• Panel displays and distribution of informational leaflets
We received many comments from students, such as:
“I realized this is an issue that can affect anyone around me,”
“I didn’t know the correct information, so this was very educational,”
which made us strongly feel the growing interest in the issue of addiction.
In recent years, the number of inquiries we receive from university students has increased rapidly. We are deeply concerned that the growing trend of gambling among younger generations may have a significant impact on Japan’s future.
Through this event, we were once again reminded of the importance of preventive education targeted at young people, and it served as a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of our ongoing activities. We will continue striving to support those affected and their families, as well as to promote broader understanding across society.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who visited our booth and to all those who helped make this event possible.
