[Event Report] Hosting “Chapter 2: The Inclusive Chorus Competition”

On June 6, 2026, The Society Concerned about Gambling Addiction held “Chapter 2: The Inclusive Chorus Competition” at the Ginza Blossom Hall. With the goal of building a society where anyone can make a fresh start, we welcomed many participants regardless of gender, age, nationality, or choral experience.
Our organization was formed in January 2025 and has continued to grow since then. We have been moving forward through experiences such as participating in the “All Japan Mothers’ Chorus Tokyo Branch Competition” in June of the same year and receiving the Margaret Award.
Through these activities, we are strongly convinced that choral singing has the power to deliver a message. We want to convey to those currently facing adversity that “there is hope” and “you can enrich your life with your own hands.” This desire is the origin of this competition.
Based on the concept of being “an inclusive competition,” we made the participation fee free. We also provided support in the form of dispatching instructors to groups that struggle to hire one, so that they could take a step forward with peace of mind. We operated the event with the wish that it would be an open space where anyone, regardless of their background, could participate if they had the desire to sing.
On the day of the event, the participants filled the venue with voices rich with their own thoughts and feelings. The strength of each voice and the messages conveyed through the music moved us on the organizing side deeply, giving us immeasurable courage. The mini-concert by our special guest, Mr. Masashi Tashiro, was also a great success, creating a wonderful time where the entire venue became one.
