Delivering a Lecture on Gambling Addiction at the JA Fukuoka City Staff Training Seminar
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, a general officer and employee training session was held at the Civic Hall in JA Fukuoka City, and about 650 employees participated.

In April of last year, an embezzlement incident occurred at JA Fukuoka City, and one of the underlying factors was gambling addiction. In response, the organization has been advancing measures to prevent a recurrence, and this training session was conducted as part of those efforts.
The lecture covered the following key topics:
• Personal experiences from the perspective of a family member affected by gambling addiction
• Fundamental knowledge about gambling disorder
• Prevention and early intervention strategies that can be implemented in the workplace
• Available support systems and consultation services for individuals struggling with addiction

At the venue, it was impressive to see many participants listening carefully while taking notes and nodding.
It is also important to know that there are places to seek support for colleagues, juniors, and their families struggling with gambling problems.
Through such opportunities, we will continue our efforts to promote a correct understanding and create a supportive environment where everyone can seek help.
